Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that came out for the practice games this weekend.  Everything went well and we ended up with a good showing at the sponsor bar for a bit of beerpong and flip cup.  Keep in mind that today is the last day for sign ups.....

and the Pre Season / Tshirt Pickup party is this Friday night, starts at 7pm and goes till whenever...  but a line usually forms at 'South' around 830 so you better get there ahead of time or you might end up standing in line.  All captains need to come to get you shirts or designate someone from your team to come and get them.

Location is South in Santa Moinica.  3001 Wilshire blvd.

Coed Touch Football - OPENING DAY JUNE 14TH

FREE PRACTICE/PICKUP Games this Saturday 2:30 to 4pm at Pen Mar Park.  1341 Lake St Venice, CA 90291-2984.  Then off to our new Sponsor bar..... "South" in Santa Monica.

Dring Specials 3.00 Pints, 5 dollar wells, 10 pitchers.   Food Specials.  Half off... Nachos, Fries and the Chicken Sandwich.  Let's show 'South' how we do.... Show up Strong and Rep. You must have a wristband or t-shirt to get the discounts!!!  Get wristbands from a PSS representative.

Registration CLOSES on Sunday Night at Midnight.  Get on your horse and don't miss your chance

Pre Season Party on Friday Night 7 to 9 pm at South.  Captains must get their teams shirts or designate someone to come and get them.  All players should come to the party to hang and get bar specials.

Can you walk and drink at the same time.  Planet Social Sports is having it's first annual bar crawl on Saturday starting at 4pm.  Drink  specials all day... Starting at Cabo Cantina on wilshire in Westwood.. or Santa Monica depending on who you talk to.  Be there by 4.  We're starting at Cabo and Heading west.  Possibly stopping for Sake Bombs next door before we head over to Q's.  From Q's we go west to a New place that some of you may have not heard of yet.... "South".  Beer specials until 8pm if you wear your PSS shirts.  Beer pong and filp cup will be available if you are so Inclinded.  Come... meet, dring and walk.. .or if you are really lazy, take a cab.  Call or email us if you need more information... but it's pretty self explanitory.

Ballers,

 

1.  Happy St. Patty's Day

 

2.  Standings are up on the website... just remember that everyone's a weiner.

 

3.  Bowling on Wed night...9pm. AMF Santa monica.. Pico blvd. Let me know if you plan on coming... I have to know numbers... (Yes Adam.. .I'm waiting on comments from you :))

 

4.  Games will be played this Sat.  Make sure you show up on time....

 

5.  This is supposed to be fun... It's coed touch football... If you want to go play DI futball..... go back to college :)

 

6.  If I screwed up the schedule or standings it's cause I just had a tripple shot of expresso... and be nice when you let me know about the mistakes :)

1.  If you are waiting for players to fill you roster, PLEASE have them sign up today.... you know who you are :)

 

2.  Brennans has been happy to extend their Wednesday Burger Special to Us.. Awesome... .and they are going to have 2 bartenders for the hours that we are there.

     Lets make them use em... and have a good bar showing this week.

 

     If you didn't already know..... standings for league rankings go as follows:

            First.........  Pts

            Second....  Head to head match ups (who has won against each other)

            Third........  Bar attendance... no joke.  Teams with the best bar attendance get the highter seading

 

3.  We are having Free Kickball Practices on Sunday at Oakwood.  For those of you who know... it's our old football field.  Games start at noon.  We have two fields going at the same time.

Woww... What a first week.

Wanted to say thanks to all the peeps that came out for the first week of Coed Touch Football in Venice.  We had an awesome turnout... players and spectators, and I think everyone had a great time.  We rocked Brennans after the game.  Beer pong and flip cup games were running rampid and there was mad jawing about who ruled the tables.  Looking forward to more games and tom foolery througout the season. 

Congrats to everyone who came out, played and watched.  Can't wait till tomorrow!  See you out there

The football season is approaching.  The deadline to get signed up is this Sunday, so if you have slacker friends... YOU NEED TO PUSH THEM TO SIGN UP!!!

It may rain this weekend, if so check out the Venice League page for football announcements on whether or not we will be playing pickup games... hopefully the city will let us play even if it rains.

 

Free Agents will get their team assingments by Monday.

 

As of right now the t-shirt pickup night and pre-party is planned for next Friday the 29th.  That means that all captain's or a delagate needs to show up to pick up all their teams shirts.

Free agents should all show up and meet your teams.  ERY BODY should show up for cheap drinks/ food and games!!!!

 

Captains..  some of you teams are short on people... make sure you have as many players signed up by this weekend as possible.. We might have players available as free agents to goto your team, but no promises.  So do all the recruiting that you can..  We understand if people are FLAKEY I mean come on... it's LA....
